About Dr. Steph, ND

Hi there,
Looking for an ND best suited for you?
Dr. Stephanie Matte, ND is a dedicated Naturopathic Doctor focused in digestion, fatigue, weight and metabolic health, and women's hormonal concerns from puberty to menopause and beyond. She recognizes how deeply interconnected our symptoms can be, where imbalances in one area often influence another. Her treatment room is not an area where concerns get dismissed, but instead assessed with compassion and a deeper lens.
Her passion for naturopathic medicine is rooted in personal experience. Having faced her own health challenges in her late teens and early adulthood—including digestive concerns, fatigue, burnout, and skin issues—she understands the importance of feeling supported and guided through the healing process.
If you are someone who is experiencing symptoms that you know aren't normal but are overwhelmed by the conflicting things you read online about your concerns, you are not alone. In her years of practice she has frequently treated/supported IBS, SIBO, gut infections, fatty liver, gallstones, chronic fatigue, ADHD, eczema, acne, MCAS, POTS, weight loss resistance, diabetes, insulin resistance, hormone imbalances, thyroid dysfunction, PCOS, menopause, and so often a combination in a patient all at once. She recognizes that no two patients are the same and creates individualized treatment plans that foster lasting change without overwhelm, while meeting patients where they are.
Dr. Steph, ND holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa and earned her Doctor of Naturopathy degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). Dedicated to ongoing learning, she prioritizes staying current with evidence-based approaches to provide high-quality, up-to-date care. She is a member in good standing with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO) with prescribing rights and IV license, as well as a member of the Ontario and Canadian Associations of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND & CAND). She also pursued advanced training in menopause and is certified as a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP).
Originally from Sudbury, Ontario, she has a strong appreciation for an active, outdoor lifestyle. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys hiking, biking, camping, and staying active through fitness and new challenges such as rock climbing. She believes that both physical and mental growth come from challenging your body, big or small, and brings this philosophy into her work with patients—encouraging them not just to manage their health, but to truly thrive.
